    Very nice and many congratulations!

The pouting and whining shouldn’t be in the same message as the congratulations. It ain’t out here yet. As my boy would yowl, “It’s not faaaaaaiiiiiirrrrr!” Now I’ll go and be all parental with myself and go back to the excitement of “The petycions of the pater noster by Jhon Collet deane of Powels,” which, having been published in 1531, is readily available.

    Gracias. Graci. Gratias.

Still in print after 475 years - we should all be so lucky.

November seems to be the ETA in Canada, so NOBODY BREATHE A WORD OF SPOILAGE on this Blog.

By the way, if you type in KILL CHAIN at Amazon.ca, you get several offerings, including (I love this)
Kill and Chill : Restructuring Canada’s Beef Commodity Chain

Meg, are you saying your pets have been starving in the dark, and your kid is risking crooked bicuspids while waiting for the book to bring home the bacon?

  • Meg // October 6, 2006 at 11:05 am

No spoilage, absolutely not. At my house we have a giving-away-the-ending jar: spoil something and you pay. Same applies here.

Kill and Chill: sounds like Jax and Tim’s weekend. And nobody in my family waits for bacon. We’re talking teenaged boys here. No bacon = riots. But otherwise you have my lifestyle down to a T.

Correction on my comment above… I should have said grazie. So that’s what the “z” key at the bottom of the keyboard does!

Trilingual thanks–wow–nice work with the “z” key. Where will we keep the spoiler jar?

Returning to conspiracy theories and Dan Frickin’ Brown etc., there’s a short article in the September issue of Coin News (good UK numismatic mag, p. 29) on conspiracy theories and symbols on the Great Seal of the USA. It’s a lovely bit of debunking that starts out with a little tantrum over Angels and Demons.

Ho-hum. Just another day in the life of a successful novelist-cum-expatriate. Buy, um, where is the item for devouring chocolate at rates indigestible by the human body?

Congratuations, Meg! I cannot believe the baby is delivered! And another in the mixer.

I’ll keep my comments brief and to the point.
Dear readers, it’s good when your wife gets that project out. Life in the house reverts back to some sense of normalcy, at least for a few months, until the next one hits critical mass. Then the kids and I walk softly (with the pets).

Well done babe, from far away 
