Are your comments being posted?

March 19, 2007 · 5 Comments

WordPress.com has recently changed its spam-control regime. On my end, this has meant that the number of junk comments I have to wade through has vastly decreased. However, I want to make sure that legitimate comments are not being snagged as spam and deleted before I even see them.

If any readers are submitting comments but finding that they don’t get posted on the blog, please email me. Meg @ meggardiner . com .

(You know I have to type my email address that way so as not to attract even more spam, right? )

I hope someone passes this message onto Matt (has sacrifized a lot for WordPress) - “Fiz the User Interface - Admin, Write a Post - regular updates has caused it to slow down. Check the compatibility with every new plug-in you add.” Its better to get one’s post out there on time, rather than to wait for much more time, to just get that thing loaded. Regards, WordPress wel-wisher.

Hey Meg … I wondered what was going on … I have just posted on a couple of friend’s blogs and my comments are ‘awaiting moderation’ … I haven’t seen that in a while but now it all makes sense … you have just cleared the mud enough for wellies!!

    xx

Queen Minx - there’s ongoing discussion of this in the WordPress.com forums; just search for all discussions on spam, or Akismet. Good luck! (May I call you Minxie, or do you prefer Your Majesty?)

Cheers Meg … and you can call me anything you want as long as it’s legal … but Minxie is good for me!

    Hi Meg:

I received The Memory Keeper’s Daughter from Amazon today and am looking forward to a good weekend read. The damn virus permeating San Diego has kept me down for almost a month now. Yeah, yeah, I know, go to the doctor. I am imagining a “Life Goes On” sort of novel. My 19 year old son Casey has Down syndrome. Note: I believe it will be astounding, and bought one for my Mom in Michigan just now on Amazon.

This morning, while blow drying my hair, need to read during that, I read Kings EW article, ripped out the page, and hit Amazon again for Crosscut and China Lake. Looks like China Lake is coming from the UK, used, like new paperback.

I have never blogged before, so here goes. Hope I can remember to go to read this!
