Today I saw some vintage books - a signed first edition of The Da Vinci Code, and a signed copy of Arthur C. Clarke’s 2010. There was also a 1936 edition of T.E. Lawrence’s The Seven Pillars of Wisdom. If it had been signed I would have bought it.
When I mentioned this to my husband later, he looked at me like I had overlooked the obvious solution. “You should have bought it and got Stephen King to sign it,” he said. “That’s what he does.”
