Contest winner learns his fate

June 20, 2009 · 7 Comments

DJ Paterson was a co-winner of my last contest and so has a character in The Memory Collector named after him. He sent this photo and message:

“Attached is a photo capturing the moment I realised that my character may have what Mother Nature never saw fit to let me have. An Afro!”

    DSC Spoiler alert;

    After learning that Susan, the winning character in DSC, was a porn star in a snuff flick who then dies a firey death when a Molotov cocktail gets tossed into an elevator car, I’m becomong more and more apprehensive about reading about my character.

    I have got to win this contest just to see what she will do to an aging Obsessive Compulsive with enough hang ups to fill a closet full of anxieties. :>)

    Ken: Boy, did you ever misinterpret DSC. None of that is in the book, I swear.

    This is so exciting! I can’t wait to see what Meg’s done to you poor, innocent guys.

    Meg, will you do another contest for your next book? I’m not sure I can top your husband’s jock itch ebbing and flowing like the English Channel. I may have reached my peak with that line.

    @Meg: Did I misinterpret DSC?

    Dana Jean: Yes, there will be another contest. Keep your eyes peeled.

    Eddie: That’s a great review. And you didn’t misinterpret the book in the least.
