If it’s all gimmick, if there’s no beef, what does it matter how well he markets? And if I were an editor who rec’d that note, he’d be on my s*** list, not my short list!
From the title of the post, I though, “uh oh, Meg’s gone all metafictional…this is beyond folding herself up in the back seat of the car.” Then I read the article. What a nasty scheme. And wrong-headed besides. It’s like students who do all kinds of odd things to make their papers stand out, that is, all kinds of things except solid research, logical thinking, and coherent writing.
