Stuxnet: the open source weapon

“Cyber bad-assery.”

Technology is twisted into weaponry in several of my novels. Mission Canyon features a plotline about stolen source code being adapted for cyber attacks. On the page, when bad guys turn high tech into weapons, things go horribly awry. Think things will go better in the real world?

One response to “Stuxnet: the open source weapon

  1. I’ve heard of Stuxnet and it’s abilities against nuclear infrastructure. I’ve even heard the rumors of it coming out of Israel. I hadn’t thought of it as an “open source weapon”. Makes the other open source stuff I use, like 7-Zip and Notepad++ and OpenOffice.org, all seem decidedly bush league.
