I’ve just heard from Natasha Rogers, special events manager for the Broward Public Library Foundation, about the Literary Feast, which I took part in last month. She writes:
“It was a huge success, raising $170,000 for programs run through our library system that improve literacy skills for children and adults, strengthening our entire community.”
And that is a damn fine result.
It was my honor to take part in something so worthwhile. And I had a great time – as you can probably tell from the photo above, taken with the authors who attended, library foundation board members, and organizers of the Feast.
