I’m all for the Oxford comma, especially as it not being used meant I missed out on that party invite.
Oh, poor DJ. But it was a dull party, apparently.
But, mon dieu, the Grammar Geeks Unit was founded in 2006? Where did the time go?
We’ve been in the trenches. Time flies when you’re having fun.
I support the Oxford Comma.
I am also a grammar geek and it’s nice to know I am not alone. The protagonist of one of my all-time favorite books is an English teacher and the story is full of great lines. I like to use quotes from things I read as a signature for my email. I use this one a lot:
“Did he ever make threatening remarks to your husband or gestures?” I rarely failed anyone in English, but I would have loved to be able to flunk Gevinski for that sentence.”
