Writers love getting blurbs for our books — quotes from well-respected authors or artists. Blurbs add cred, and catch potential readers’ eyes. I’ve been insanely lucky to get blurbs for my novels from Stephen King, Lee Child, Jeffery Deaver, Don Winslow, Tess Gerritsen, and Karin Slaughter.
But, browsing the Classics aisle at Book People in Austin, I came upon the blurb to end all blurbs:
“It is not possible to say how much we owe to him, because his splendor blinds our eyes…. Always he was near to God.” —MICHELANGELO
You win, Dante Alighieri. FOREVAH.
