5 more things I’ve done that you probably haven’t

It’s been a while since we’ve taken an inventory of weird things we’ve done. In earlier installments I listed my battles with squirrels and shrieking seagulls and my hair-pulling wrestling match with an editor. Here are five more things I’ve done that you probably haven’t:

1. Skied down an Olympic downhill course. On my butt. Screaming.

2. Ran with a Bear and a Viking. (And a Packer.)

3. Got lost in the woods during an Easter egg hunt.

4. Got kicked out of Burger King for singing, “Have It Your Way” at the counter.

5. Ran barefoot through the lobby of the Federal Building in Manhattan, calling: “Where’s the FBI?”

What about all of you?

  1. Hmm, 5 more than the original 10:
1 Ziplined 1000 meters across a river in Brazil, Superman-style.
    2. Stopped pickpockets in action two times, and they weren’t even targeting me.
    3. Barked like a seal in underground crystal caverns in France, just to hear the echo.
    4. Gone to a U.S. Consulate Halloween party dressed as Carmen Miranda.
    5. Stared down a puma while cleaning out her cage, armed only with a broom.

  2. 1. Served coffee to Shirley Temple Black when I was in college.
    2. Moved in next door to the sister of a man who happened to live next door to my sister 300 miles away.
    3. Was fortunate enough to have Meg’s husband sing at my wedding.
    4. Was in Meg’s wedding with Snart.
    5. Was the first (I think) to read Meg Gardiner’s high school novella.
